John James Harton, 58, of Little Rock died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000. Born Dec. 26, 1941, in Del Rio, Texas, he was the son of John Teague and Ara Velva Boggs Harton. He was the widower of Dianne Voss Harton.  He married Dianne Voss on May 30, 1968, in Hot Springs. He attended the University of Arkansas. After graduation, he worked as a systems analyst for AP&L in Pine Bluff from 1965-69. He was executive to the president of AP&L from 1969-71, manager of organization and methods from 1971-74, and vice president chief financial officer from 1979-95. He was currently serving as a consultant for Entergy Corp. He served on the administrative board of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a trustee and secretary-treasurer of Trinity United Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include a son, Jay Harton of Little Rock; and a daughter, Angela H. Tschantz of Lexington, Va.

 

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Shadowlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bryan Diffee officiating under the direction of Regency Funeral Home in Malvern.

 

Memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church Memorial Fund in Little Rock, or to Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund in Fayetteville.
